My least favorite teacher1/6/2024 ![]() ![]() I saw everyone else in the class getting one, but according to the teacher, I wasn't ready for one. The other time that sticks out for me, was when I wanted a reading book. When I started crying, she told me not to be a baby, and that the toy I has previously been playing with was not only too advanced for me, but was for girls. Anyway, she decided to take it off me and gave me something else, goodness knows what. I suppose it was supposed to teach you how to lace and tie your shoes, but I could do that by the time I was three. Uh, well, I don't know the name for it, but it was square, had holes in it and you had to put a lace through the holes. I called her MacAulay-faced-flower, though never to her face. Never explained anything, and just had the hugest chip on her shoulder. She was actually a really bad teacher, too. We all did silly things, but it was always me who got it. She'd tattle on me to my mum for stupid things, like swinging my jacket around at playtime. ![]() Sure, I wasn't perfect, but most of the time when I stepped out of line, I was reacting to being bullied, for example. When I got into a confrontation with people, she'd punish me, which was fair enough, but she never actually investigated the cause of it. She was my primary 1 teacher (I was 5 years old). Her name was Miss MacAulay (or however the stupid bitch spelled her name). He's very well balanced between personal and professional. I don't know if you could find a better teacher than him. to how he showed us all the ultrasound pics of his baby, bouncing about the room first-time-dad excited after saying that we were like an extension of his family and he wanted us to know him and his. to the younger sibling of one of his students. From the way he gave the speech on depression (saying we could always come to him if we needed someone to talk to) my freshman year when something. Fellow students give praise enough, he is there to point out what you did well and what needs improvement. and an advanced choir director all in one, which means various degrees of control and very little praise to your students. He's intimidating, encouraging, insanely caring. I think, of all of them, he is my absolute favorite. Seventh grade was the first time I wrote a song :) It sucked, but I wrote it, so it was awesome, lol. Music became one of my passions and my escape. It kept me coming to school and it got me out of bed. Choir in middle school kept me mostly afloat. we even did "Eye of the Tiger" once with him on guitar. His style was a bit more pop culture oriented than most choir directors'. We watched numerous Beatles movies and a Charlie Chaplin silent film, as well as My Fair Lady on odd days when we weren't singing. ya know? Umm Char in middle school (or junior high as some may know it), grades 6-8, had a love for Charlie Chaplin, the Beatles and Elvis that was insanely catching. patient and, of course, strict in a not-strict way. ![]() He was kind and a little silly, as I remember it, but very respectful. ![]() He kick-started my love of choir, because each grade was their own choir. I learned to play the recorder and the ukulele in his classes, grades 3-5. My elementary (or primary) school music teacher was Mr. she taught us the months of the year and the days of the week (and which months had 30 or 31 days, plus Feb with 28) by teaching us songs. Phillips has gotten off too- she was my first music teacher, way back in kindergarten. My favorite teachers have always been my music teachers. ![]()
